Sankranti dates for the year — when the Sun enters a new rasi (solar ingress). On the Panchang the civil date follows local civil date of the Nirayana solar ingress; puṇyakāla is before a daytime transit and after a night transit (Dharma Sindhu ghaṭis). Because tithi and nakṣatra boundaries are reckoned from local sunrise, the same observance can fall a day earlier or later in another city. Solar-month worship, dāna, or harvest thanks — follow regional custom. Dates below for 2026 are computed from sunrise at your selected place. The same vrata can fall on an adjacent civil day in another city.
