Shraddha Tithi Calculator – Find Ancestor Death Tithi
The ancestral śrāddha tithi is the lunar day prevailing at Aparāhṇa on the death civil day at your place. Monthly Masikam and annual Abdikam both track that tithi.
High-intent searches include “shraddha tithi calculator”, “shradh tithi calculator”, “shradh date calculator”, and “சிராத்த திதி கணிப்பான்”. Drikganita matches Drik-style Aparāhṇa rules, not Vākya shortcuts.
Once the tithi is known, open the Masikam and Oona sections for the full first-year schedule, or jump to Abdikam / Thivasam for the annual date pattern.

FAQ
- Why Aparāhṇa and not sunrise tithi?
- Classical pitṛ-kārya and śrāddha nirṇaya commonly take the tithi that prevails in Aparāhṇa (the fourth daylight fifth). Sunrise tithi can differ on transition days.
- What is a śūnya tithi for śrāddha?
- When the same tithi occupies Aparāhṇa on two consecutive civil days, the longer afternoon contact (adhika vyāpti) is used. An exact tie takes the first day. If the second afternoon is longer, the first day is śūnya (void)—unless that second day is afflicted by a visible grahaṇa or saṅkramaṇa, in which case the first day is used.
